Please Support "Real Violence" on Kickstarter

This is a new short film my Boyfriend is in, and that I am helping out on. Please take a moment to check it out. I am very proud of Pancho and Jonathan. Hopefully this film can open more director's eyes to the talent of Little People actors, not just in character roles, but as leading men and women. Jonathan's tribute to his brother Wayne is brave and new.

Proof of the Tiny Lemon Meringue Pie

So here is the proof that I really did make Tiny Pie, in case you just weren't sure you should believe me. They got a great response from the Taste tester Boyfriend, and a good response from my wonderful Guinea Pig coworkers. I should clarify they are not the animal kind of Guinea Pigs, but work would sooo much cuter and funnier if they were.
I have also included a photo of my dog in a monkey costume, just because I can.

Tiny Lemon Meringue Pies?!

As some of you may know, I like many things in my life miniature. My miniature English Bulldog distracted me from my meringue making by requesting a walk, which lasted 15 minutes longer than necessary because a gaggle of girls wanted to pet her and take photos of her always protruding tongue. While Pancho may enjoy this unwanted lady attention, I ached to get back to my project. After changing the battery in the smoke detector, which says it was to be replaced in 2003. I headed to the kitchen to attempt to make miniature lemon meringue pies. (A functional smoke detector may have had to come in handy.) I like to read recipes online. I've created a game for myself, call it an online version of "Chopped." I type in random food items, and see if a recipe pops up. Today I had decided to surprise my boyfriend with tiny pie. Lemon Meringue being our favorite. Being unsatisfied with my search results I decided to combine recipes. I used a pie crust recipe from my mother, a phenomenal baker, a lemon curd recipe from http://joythebaker.com/2011/03/lemon-meringue-cookies/ and meringue recipe from http://www.framedcooks.com/2012/01/mini-lemon-meringue-pies.html I learned quickly that my crust needed to be created in a food processor not with a handheld mixer.....my mother specified this, but I refused to listen.....as it has always gone in our relationship. I would have used my ninja blender, but it has broken after only a few months of ownership...perhaps the Ninja company will come across this and gift me with a new one. Lemon curd is fricken easy to make....and it tastes sooooooo good! Don't buy it, it's a waste, make it yourself. It tastes better and gives you a chance to work on separating egg whites and yolks. This was my first time doing so and I have to say I did it perfectly! I had been told meringue is tricky, May be I have a gift for the meringue, or it was beginners luck, but it turned out beautifully. They only difficulty was piping it onto the pies, any tips? I have not tried one, waiting on the man of the house, but I will post a photo of the pies and our faces as we taste what is sure the be the best thing each of us has put in our mouth, so far today.
